What to record when a convection oven bakes unevenly
Describe the pattern your staff sees in normal operation. Keep track of the rack position, side of the tray and stage of the bake.
Uneven browning by rack or side
Note whether it is always the same rack or side, and whether the problem occurs across different batches.
A change in fan sound
Describe a new vibration, rattle or silence, and when it appears in the oven cycle.
Slow preheat or heat recovery
Compare the current preheat to the oven’s usual behavior. Mention whether it struggles after a door opening.
Door or controls interrupt the cycle

Frequently asked questions
Can I request service if the oven heats but the bake is uneven?
Yes. Tell us how the results differ by rack or side and whether the pattern repeats after preheating.
Does a new fan sound mean the fan has failed?
The sound and its timing are useful observations. An on-site assessment helps determine what is causing it.
Do you look at ovens where only one of the two chambers has a problem?
Yes. Give the label from the affected chamber if possible and tell us whether the other chamber still runs normally.
What does a convection oven repair visit cost?
The service call fee is $150. The repair estimate depends on the assessment and the parts and work needed.
